Tom Porter has been creating music for television and various media platforms for over two decades. After graduating from Berklee College of Music and the University of Southern California's Screen Scoring program, Tom began his career by mentoring under Emmy-nominated composer Robert Duncan. Initially assisting, he eventually became a full-time writer, contributing additional music for shows such as "Castle" and "Lie to Me." Since then, Tom has established himself as a seasoned television composer, collaborating with some of the finest television composers working today. As a result, his music can be heard on shows like the BBC's "The Pact" and Netflix's "The Night Agent," as well as the police action drama "S.W.A.T."

With credits that demonstrate his versatility and extensive range as an artist, Tom strives to create memorable soundscapes, working closely with production teams to bring stories to life. Whether it's for an International Rescue Committee promotional video, a compilation of children's songs for Jamie Lee Curtis, or scoring a documentary preview film following the Nemesis NXT, Tom's impactful compositions resonate with audiences. His score for the short film "Darling Darling, Wendy" earned him the award for Best Original Score at the Indie Short Fest and a nomination in the same category at FilmQuest the same year.

Affiliated with BMI, Tom currently resides in Boston, MA, with his husband and their delightfully lazy dog, Boo.
